TPS25762-Q1: Boot/Control by MCU

Part Number: TPS25762-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

As title, I believe that TPS25762-Q1 can boot/control by MCU which means that we don't plan to use EEPROM in my system, is it correct?

And I need to set by RTVSP. Is it correct?

And I need to use GPIO2/3, is it correct?

Regards,

Roy

  • Hello Roy,

Yes, booting and loading the patch bundle directly from an MCU is an alternative method to using an EEPROM.

Yes, to boot from an MCU, you can use TVSP Index 1, 3, 5, or 7.

For the TPS25762-Q1, you can use either the I2C1 (pins 3 and 4) or I2C2 (pins 25 and 26) bus to do MCU boot. For more details, see Section 4.3 in the "Firmware Update with a Host" application note here.

    BR,
