For details on the Thermistor (GPIO) Diagnostic you can refer to section 9.3.6.4 in the datasheet. I am also providing an image of the algorithm. Also, the device can open wire check on the VC and CB pins if you would like reference that.

Hi Barry, does this just verify that the ADC's are working properly? Is it even possible to do an open wire check for the thermistors? I have developed an open wire check for VC pins already FYI.

You are correct that it is just verifying the two ADC measurements. I was just showing what the GUI does for the diagnostic. It hasn't been tested for this device, but you can probably get GPIO open wire detection to work by using a weak pull up or pull down and a GP1 ADC measurement of the GPIO pin.
