UCD90160A: Pin Selected Rail States

I am working with the UCD90160A part and have configured 12 rails with no inter-dependency between the rails. All are individual rails sequenced from 1 to 12.

I am now trying to use the "Pin-Selected Rail States" feature to define the rail status based on 3 different GPI pins.

From the Fusion GUI, under the configure menu and Rail #1-#12 configuration, I clicked on "Click to change PSRS" option in the Sequencing->How to turn rail on/off window and defined the states as shown below.

When I set the GPI1-3 pin states, I don't see the expected behavior.

My use case is the following:

1. GPI1-3 : ON/OFF/OFF - All Rails OFF

2. GPI1-3 : OFF/ON/OFF - All rails ON. (Expect rails to be re-sequenced and turned on, if they are already off).

Please confirm my understanding if this use-case can be achieved with the pin-selected rail states feature.

Also enable all 8 statues instead of just two as shown in the snapshot.

This is helpful. I can configure the states properly and see that the rails are shut down when I provide the correct values to the GPI pins. But the rails are not getting re-sequenced and powered on when the GPI pins are set to all rails on.

I see the rail state in IDLE once it's turned off and not changed to RAMPUP after the GPI states change. This is true for all rails and so even the 1st rail is not changing state, so I don't think this is a rail inter-dependency issue.

I can confirm that the monitor window reports the correct pin states for GPI 1-3 when toggled.

You have other fault triggered like UVF,OVF, TON_MAX, which can prevent the power up.

did you disable the fault response for those fault events?

Yes. All the rails have fault responses as disabled. Please see the attached screenshot.

I believe even if the fault response is enabled, I expect the first rail state should change to RAMPUP or something. It cannot stay in IDLE as per my understanding.
