TPS23881: The usage of Fuse

Hi TI team

Our project use the TPS23881 as PSE controller. For the FUSE, We find two similar case about usage of TPS2384 but we still has some question as below:

1. I saw that the Fuse is relate to UL testing in that similar case. Do we must use fuse if we want to do UL testing? Do you know which UL testing item is relate to Fuse if we must use? 

2. Can we use a resettable Fuse for TPS23881? Many thanks

    Hi William,

    1. The fuse is needed in order to be UL certified without actual going through the full UL certification. It falls under the UL2367 for passive protection.

    2. Please check with UL for this requirement but should be okay to use.
