We are using LM5118-Q1 in our design. But while simulating this circuit in webench.I'm getting the following error for 12V/6A.

Your attention is highly appreciated.Meanwhile I'll calculate the values manually.

Hi Stefan,

Power Good pin is not available in this regulator.

Is there any other options available to monitor the 12V output power.

Thanks for reaching out.

I reviewed your condition on WEBENCH, and it is mostly failing because we are unable to find the correct MOSFET for your design. In such cases, WEBENCH suggests an ideal FET, but it will remove the efficiency and other power loss calculation operating values since those will be recalculated. This should allow design creation without MOSFET and power loss calculations. However, for this particular model, there seems to be an issue with the implementation of the ideal FET.

I checked the same condition on our internal server, and it worked for me. Please find the design report from the internal server for your quick reference. Kindly note that it will lack some crucial information, such as efficiency and MOSFET power dissipation values.

As suggested by Stefan, you can use the Circuit Calculator he attached for your initial design and calculations. You can also use the design report I have attached for your initial calculations.

Again, since WEBENCH is not able to find a MOSFET for your design and it lacks some crucial data, please refer to the Circuit Calculator shared by Stefan for this particular case.
