TPS7H4010-SEP: VCC external capacitor sizing

Part Number: TPS7H4010-SEP

Tool/software:

What is the minimum required capacitance on the VCC pin?

  • Datasheet pg. 3 "Connect a high-quality 2.2-μF capacitor from this pin to GND."
  • Datasheet pg. 18 "The VCC pin must have a 1-μF to 4.7-μF bypass capacitor placed as close as possible to the pin and properly grounded"
  • Datasheet pg. 32 "The recommended CVCC capacitor is 2.2 μF and rated at 6.3 V or greater."

Is 1uF enough? Or is at least 2.2uF required under all operating conditions?

Thanks,
Sean
