TPS4H160-Q1: B-Variant: Tie together multiple CS pins of different devices

Part Number: TPS4H160-Q1

Tool/software:

Good day,
is it possible to connect the CS pin of multiple (only two in my case) TPS4H160B devices together?

I would ensure through an external multiplexer circuit for the DIAG_EN pin that only ever one channel of the two components can be active at the same time.
Since the CS pin goes into a high-impedance state with DIAG_EN = low and since internally the 4 channels of each device are also multiplexed, I could immagine this to work.

Reason behind the question is that I have to manage my ADC pins of the MCU and would like to safe space and money by avoiding an analog multiplexer.
I would ask you to either confirm or reject my proposal, if this could be implemented this way.

Thanks already in advance,
Lukas Rettenbacher
