Could someone please clarify what the maximum current draw from SYS is, both when running from battery and when an adapter is connected?

Hi Sam,

The max current that can come from the adapter out of the SW node is 3 A.

Please read Section 9.3.1 of the datasheet. The maximum draw from the battery to SYS is IBATFET_OCP.
