TPSM843B22E: Failing SPICE Model

I was recently provided an unencrypted PSPICE model for the TPSM843B22E switcher module so that I could convert it to LTSPICE to run faster and to use it with LTSPICE models of Coilcraft inductors. 

But, this model is failing to converge.  It gives a series of errors like this, which would appear to be internal problems in this just released model.

 

Questionable use of curly braces in "b§e_abm12 vref_ss 0 v={(limit(v(n16772956),0,0.515))} "

    Error: undefined symbol in: "(limit([v](n16772956),0,0.515))"

Questionable use of curly braces in "b§e_abmgate yint 0 v={if(v(a)>{{vthresh}}&v(b)>{{vthresh}},{{vdd}},{{vss}})}"

    Error: undefined symbol in: "if([v](a)>((vthresh))&v(b)>((vthresh)),((vdd)),((vss)))"

Do you have any advice you can give me?

    Thanks for posting the question about the TPSM843B22E. Unfertunalty we are not suppose to promote or support our devices using our competitor tools in your case LT-SPICE. that clearly a legal issue for TI and do not comply with license agreement from LT

    "This program is specifically not licensed for use by semiconductor manufacturers in the design, promotion, demonstration or sale of their products. Specific permission must be obtained from Linear Technology for the use of LTspice for these applications."

  • Hello Tahar:

    David did have some advice on removing unnecessary curly braces in the model.  However, the model is over 2000 lines long, and picking out which sets of curly braces to remove is beyond my knowledge. 

    So, I'll have to try these sims in TI PSPICE.  I have installed it, but it does not seem to have the TPSM843B22E and other new "843" models available for placement.  They skip from 842 to 844 in the model list. 

    Can you advise on when these will be in TI PSPICE?

    I did not see a TPSM843B22E model released on ti.com. So, this model may not be available in the library for that reason. We do not model temperature dependency in any of our simulation models. The model for TPSM843B22 at: https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/slum896 is going to work in identical fashion to the TPSM843B22E so I would recommend downloading and using this model in lieu of TPSM843B22E.

    Please let me know if you have any issues or questions when working with this TPSM843B22 PSPICE for TI model.
