BQ34Z100-R2: How to create an new Chemical ID without sending samples?

Part Number: BQ34Z100-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM

Tool/software:

Hi,

Is it possible to make a new chemical ID without sending samples to you? I have already used the GPCCHEM tool and sent a file.  Where the recommended Chemical ID:s DoD error is larger than the recommended 3%. We used 6116 and tried to make some learning cycles, but we need a better Chemical ID to continue.

We have a Bitrode equipment and the right test infrastructure to make own tests. Is it possible to just send the data files when completing the tests needed to update the Chemistry? We use large NiMH batteries 12V, 100 Ah so it is not easy to send samples to you.

Please let me know what is needed from the generated data files in order to recieve a new better matching Chemical ID.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Stina,

Unfortunately, in order for us to create a custom ChemID for you, you will need to send us cells to get characterized.

Please reach out to your supporting FAE on assistance on this process.

    Regards,

    Diego

  • How do I come into contact with the supporting FAE? What is the cost for you to get the battery characterized to generate a new Chemical ID?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Stina,

Please reach out to your local TI office for help finding your supporting FAE or they may be able to help you get with the ChemID process.

If you have any issues, please let me know and I can help you with the process. :)

There is no cost to get a custom ChemID other than the cost to ship your cells to our labs in Dallas.

    Regards,

    Diego

  • Hi Diego,

I tried to get hold of a supporting FAE, but the support could not help me. See CS2515076: Assigned FAE to support. They suggested me to contact you again to get support with the process on how to send in a battery for generating a new Chemical ID.  I need to send over a 12V battery (NiMH type), the construction does not allow for sending in just one cell. Which address should the battery be sent to and to which contact person?

Looking forward to hear from you.
