Roberto,
We do not recommend the BQ76PL536 for new designs. It is outdated and no longer supported. We recommend looking into the BQ79616.

Ben
Thanks Ben for the tip. But we need to test some equalization algorithms with the BQ76PL536EVM-3 (and we don´t have funds to try with this new chip).
I hope you can help us get the GUI software.
Regard, Roberto
Roberto,
As mentioned, the device is no longer supported. I cannot provide access to the GUI software.

Ben
Ok, Im full professor in Universidad Nacional del Centro, located in Olavarría - Argentina. We have bought two BQ76PL536EVM in the past (2015), and we need to use it to test some BMS projects. We have lost the original software.
Do you have the possibility to send me by email the last version of this version BQ76PL536evm-3?
Thanks
Regards
Roberto
Roberto,
Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with the software and am unable to give you a different answer. The decision to stop providing the software is beyond my control. If you must communicate with this device your only option at this point is to write your own code.
I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards,
Ben
Tanks Ben, diving in an old laboratory computer we found the EVM software installer.
On the other hand, in order to reuse BMS designs with the BQ76PL536, we are developing a cluster LIN to interconnect the chips because we have interference problems with the original SPI inteconnection. Have you any recommendation?
Regards
Roberto
Roberto,
I am glad you found the software.
The BQ76PL536 can be stacked using the built in vertical interface. Communication between the stack and the host must be done through SPI. From what I can tell a LIN protocol is a system level communication solution and is beyond the scope of the battery monitors. At least one of your devices will have to be connected to an MCU via SPI.

Ben
