Hi Leo,
Have you confirmed is serial port available in windows "device manager"? If even USB port is not recognized by PC that needs to be resolved first.
Please check Scalable PMIC GUI User's Guide www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slvubt8 Appendix A troubleshooting
The first step for this error would be to make sure to ACCTRL is shown in device manager.

Hi Annie,
I was OoO and couldn't reply this on time.
So installing Uniflash didn't help to bring EVM and GUI connection working?
Br, Jari
Hi Jari,
Thanks for your reply.
However, I still can not bring EVM and GUI connection working.
I check user guide, but I have some questions as the below:
1. We have two com ports (com28,29) on "Device manager", but there is triangle error "Virtual COM Port".
2. Which situations need to use Single EVM or Multiple EVM Evaluation?
3. GUI connection is failed. Do I need to change my EVM open/close items (jumper)?
Thanks.
Hi Annie,
Sorry for the delayed reply due to OoO and travelling again.
Coming to your questions:
1. We have two com ports (com28,29) on "Device manager", but there is triangle error "Virtual COM Port".
So there looks to some issue still with ports or some driver conflict. Which windows version you are using? Would recommend windows 10 or higher.
2. Which situations need to use Single EVM or Multiple EVM Evaluation?
That depends on defined power system. Meaning, there can be multiple PMICs in the connected together as "virtual one" PMIC.
3. GUI connection is failed. Do I need to change my EVM open/close items (jumper)?
EVM just fresh from package should work since all EVMs are tested that way before shipped out from manufacturing.

Hi Jari,
After trying for a long time, we have further news:The screen shows HW connected.
But there is still triangle error "Virtual COM Port".Could we ignore triangle error "Virtual COM Port"?
Or do we need to deal with this triangle error first?
Thanks
Br, Annie
Hi Annie,
Good question. I don't have opinion about triangle as long as communication works.
Have you tested this with another computer?
