BQ2970: Looking for compatibility with my Charging system

Part Number: BQ2970

Tool/software:

I am using LTC4124 as wireless charging IC. And 40mAH Lithium-ion battery. Charging voltage is set at 4.2V and Charging current is fixed at 10mA. the issue i was facing was there was no undervoltage protection for battery so as soon as battery goes below 2.7V while discharging, the internal protection triggers which shuts down whole system. My plan is to use BQ29702DSER for battery protection. And it should turn off the battery supply at 2.8V as per the datasheet. my actual question is since Charging current is only 10mA and discharging current is between 10-20mA. So will this IC triggers the right time to protect battery from going below 2.8V? I could only find this IC from jlcpcb inventory so its important for me to use it. But i just want to confirm that it will work as per my requirement or not. Also if you can suggest any mosfets for my charging and discharging thresholds then it would be great. Thanks
