BQ24297: Question about adapter detection of BQ24297

Tool/software:

when checking BQ24297 for adapter detection R8:bits 6&7 it fails to detect the adapter if it is removed and reconnected, First time it will display status as 10 – Adapter port, after removing and reconnecting it will have status as 00 – Unknown (no input, or DPDM detection incomplete)

Is there a method to get an accurate update of the adapter status?

Thanks for schematic.

A couple of things to check:

1.) How long do you need to wait between the first plug in and 2ed plug in for unit to show correct adapter detections?

2.) One theory is the unit is trying to enter OTG, If you Disable OTG (REG01) does this change the behavior?
