BQ27532-G1: Procedure for creating multiple Golden Images with one IC

Part Number: BQ27532-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Tool/software:

Hi TI team,

I am trying to create a Golden Image(B) for another board by diverting the IC that has been created and extracted from Golden Image(A) for a specific board and battery pack.

The only difference between A and B is the board. The target battery pack specifications are the same.

Q.1:  What initial steps does the IC need to take when starting to create the Golden Image for B?

I have tried to create a Golden Image(B) by doing the following for the IC in the state of Golden Image(A).

1: Calibration
2: Set DF (battery pack spec. according to cell spec. and ChemID. Also, Update Status 0 should be set back from 02 to 00)
3: Pre-discharge + relax 5h
4: Charge + relax approx. 6h

Remakrs: No ChemID setting. (Because the appropriate ID is already set. Battery pack & Cell are the same for A and B)

Q.2:  I expected Update Status 0 to be 01 after 4 above was completed. However, it actually progressed to 02. Even though I have not yet performed a Learning Cycle discharge. Is this correct behavior?

Regards,
Hitoshi
