TPS274C65CP: TURN OFF PROBLEM WITH LOW CURRENT LOADS

Part Number: TPS274C65CP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS274C65

Tool/software:

TPS274C65CP

Above is a scope shot of turning output 0 on then back off again.

The output in this case is driving a 50K load resistor. Diag_ena is low.

Why does the voltage drop to 6.8v for 400us before returning to zero.

I have also tried with diag ena Hi with the same result.

  • James,

To baseline the setup here- are you using an EVM or your own board? If you are using your own board, would you be able to provide a schematic of just the TPS274C65 for us to double check the connections?

Would it be possible to include DIAG_EN, ENx and VS on the scope shots above? The 6.8V is what would occur if the open load pull-up is enabled (this pull-up is from VS to out)- however this should not be visible with DIAG_EN=0. I want to make sure that I have all the complete picture before hunting down a specific area of debug.

    Best Regards,
    Tim
