Figure 42 actaully shows the SS charge and discharge currents during startup, during cycle by cycle peak current limit and over current hiccup mode protection fault.
During a fault the SS charge current is disabled and the SS capacitor is discharged by the current described in figure 42. If the design is shut down during cycle by cycle current limit of 2 V. This is where the SS voltage is discharged down to 3.6 V from 4.65 V, the converter will stop switching. This an over current protection fault. The converter will not switch again until the SS capacitor is discharged down to 0.55 V with IHCC current of 5 ua. When the SS pin reaches 0.55 V IHCC will be disabled and SS will be reenabled/reset. Once SS is reset the controller will soft start the power supply again by charging the SS capacitor with 25 uA.
