TPS92520-Q1: about the UDIM Hysteresis question

Part Number: TPS92520-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello, expert.

about  the UDIM PIN,checked the datasheet, refer to the following picture,

the rising value is 1.22V(type) ,and the falling value is 1.12v(type) ,It can be seen from here that the hysteresis voltage is 100mv,Is my understanding correct?

but refer to the  datasheet 7.3.7, it can programmable the hysteresis?

when i only the UVLO function,VHYS is calculated by the following formula,Why is it calculated according to this formula? What does this(RUVH) resistor do?

Please help explain in detail

  • Hi Lei,

VUDIMx(EN) is for UDIM pin functionality, and the programmable hysteresis is used for UVLO function, you can use the resistor divider to design and calculate the threshold for input voltage. When the rising pin voltage exceeds the threshold, a current is driven out of the UDIM pin into the resistor divider providing programmable hysteresis.

Formula (9) is used for UVLO function only, if you use both PWM and UVLO functions, an extra resistor Ruvh is required and can help the standard resistor divider (Ruv1 and Ruv2) to select smaller values and minimize PWM delays. Thanks!
