TPS50601A-SP: part selection for new design

Looks like either of these parts will work for my design. 

However, I'm not sure which part to use for a new design.  Is it better to use the 601A going forward?  I'm worried the 601 will be obsolete down the road (although it's marked status ACTIVE now).

    Hello Erik,

    We recommend the TPS50601A-SP generally due to the radiation performance and electrical improvements made in the newer revision. (Improved SEE radiation performance, improved voltage reference, wider VIN support, etc.)

    For customers that choose the TPS50601-SP for new designs, we do not have currently have plans to obsolete the device.

    In case you have not found it in your research yet, we have an Application Note that describes the differences between the two versions of the devices, and what changes are needed to adapt TPS50601-SP designs to use the TPS50601A-SP (TPS50601x-SP Comparison Guide)
