Hello,

I have executed learning cycle of the 3S3P battery pack using guage bq34z950 as per the learning cycle document. In the last discharge cycle and after resting for more than 5 hours ,the update status has changed to 06. But the VOK bit doesn't cleared and cycle count =1. I'm confused if the learning cycle has been successfully ended! Please enlighten on this issue.

Hi Ashutosh K,

Did you get a Qmax update and did your Ra tables update?

If both updated, you have reached learned status 6 and are good to continue.

Hello, Thankyou Diego for the update.

After the learning cycle, to export the golden .senc file I have disabled IT, made update status 02 and cycle count 0 and saved that file. But now my MaxError is 144%. My doubt is after extracted the golden .senc file did I need to change the update status again to 06 or just directly continue to normal usage of the pack for charging and discharging.

Hi Ashutosh,

How and why did you disable IT and rest Update status?

Golden images should be created after a learning cycle is complete.

Assuming all learned data is on your golden image please change update status back to 6, and test how the gauge is performing.

oh ok sorry, I have retracted the update status and changed to 06 and guage found to be working fine. What steps do i follow to extract golden image file.

Hi,

Once you are pleased with the gauge's performance on a new battery pack, go to the Golden Image tab on BQstudio and export the .srec or gm.fs files.
