BQ40Z50-R2: Application issues

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM

Tool/software:

Hi,I have a set of 2S1P batteries and during the process of obtaining the chemical ID, I found that the report replied to me shows the best ID as 7434. However, I found a battery cell of the same model in your Battery Management Studio software's chemical ID library, which displays the chemical ID as 7174. Compared to the provided best ID 7434, the two IDs belong to the same manufacturer, but why is the best ID not 7174 of the same model? Also, other non optimal IDs in the replied chemical ID report do not have 7174. Please help me answer this question. Thank you! The attachment provides my data for obtaining chemical IDs and responding to my report

  • Hi Ian,

Thank you for sending the data, we will look into the difference between these two chemIDs. We would recommend using the ID produced by the GPCCHEM tool since it is based on the data given to the GPCCHEM tool.

    Regards,

    Anthony

  • Hi,I obtained the chemical ID using the GPCCHEM tool, and the attached image is the report information in response to my email. As the battery cell I am using is from a well-known company in the industry, I found that I can directly find the corresponding battery cell ID (7174) in your company's chemical ID library. However, when I provided the data according to the chemical ID extraction requirements, I found that I could not find it in my ID, and I obtained the best chemical ID again by changing the battery set, which is 7434. Therefore, I would like to ask you to help me confirm the problem. Thank you!

  • Hello,

After comparing ChemID 7174 and the 7434, we believe they are similar enough for the #7174 to be used. However, we would still recommend using the #7434 due to this match being directly correlated to the data from the cell in use. The usage of both of these IDs will require a learning cycle to be completed.

    Regards,

    Anthony
