UCD3138: switch to Bridgeless PFC

Good day!

I found out that the UCD3138 only has one mode (Default Single Phase PFC). To change to another mode, both hardware 'jumper changes' and software 'mode changes' are required. However, I have some questions regarding the software 'mode change.'

For example, if I want to switch to Bridgeless PFC:

1.After changing the jumper connections in the hardware and connecting the Load and Source, do I change the software while it's running? If so, does the PFC automatically recognize the hardware changes and allow for a software mode change?

2.Or, do I need to change the software from Single Phase mode to Bridgeless mode in offline mode before connecting the Load and Source?

If it's the second case, how can I change the software mode? Kindly please enlighten us.
