LP8864-Q1: Setting of Vboost's max and min

Part Number: LP8864-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello support team,

We are now designing the schematic of LP8864, and we have a problem about the setting of Vboost.

Why should be set the max and min for VBoost?

If we set the R1=680K, and R2=42.2K, the VBoost_Max=47V, will the initial output voltage be kept at 47V?

When will the min for VBoost happen? Also, If R1/R2=16, being larger than 15, will there be any risk?

Best Regards,
Dave

  • Hi, Dave

Why should be set the max and min for VBoost?

Our device contained the adaptive voltage control, so it required a voltage range.

If we set the R1=680K, and R2=42.2K, the VBoost_Max=47V, will the initial output voltage be kept at 47V?

Initial voltage should be 88% of the voltage range, Vmin+0.88*(Vmax-Vmin)

When will the min for VBoost happen? Also, If R1/R2=16, being larger than 15, will there be any risk?

A higher ratio of R1/R2 may see some loop challenge.

For min voltage, if may happened in some fault condition.
