LMZM23601 is not recommended for new designs but it seems like the replacement part (TPSM365R6) needs two more resistors and a capacitor as minimum requirements. Is there any buck converter as a replacement part that can handle three components for a buck converter?

I need 15 V input, 5 V output and 0.5 A output.

Hi Marzieh,

The closest I can find is the LMQ66410/Q1. While it is not a module, it has integrated bypass and boot capacitors to reduce the minimum external component values to 4.

Please see the application section (8) and table 8-6 in the datasheet for more details. I have included the minimum BOM below with your conditions for your convenience:

Hi Marzieh,

In terms of footprint size, I would imagine that a module would have a smaller overall footprint, just by nature of its integrated inductor.

The part linked is a lower VIN part, so if you would like to use that module instead, I can link you to the responsible team for that device's evaluation.
