Hi TI Team,

I would like to know more details and performance parameters of TPS2490 Hotswap controller based on our requirements mentioned below.

  1. Primary input from battery (15V to 30V)
  2. Standby input from PD sink controller (15V fixed)
  3. Fast Hotswap switching
  4. Hardware and/ or software controller
  5. Precise protection circuitry

Could you help us with which controller to proceed with as best fit for the mentioned requirements?

Precise switching and switching speed is an utmost requirement as this a critical part of the system. it would be great if you can guide us on this.

    Thank You for reaching out

    LM5066,you can consider which is 10-V to 80-V hot swap controller with current, Voltage and power monitoring and PMBus.

    You can also check eFuse portfolio which has integrated FET with precision switching. If you can mention your continuous load current, I can suggest the suitable smart eFuse.
