Hi Sir,

Could you help reply the my customer ask the below TPS22995 application questions?

Q1: Does the TPS22995 have the power-in sequence for VIN, VBIAS and ON?

Q2: The power apply to VBIAS need earlier than VIN, is it correct?

Q3: The VIN voltage cannot higher than VBIAS, is it correct?

Q4: VIN=0V, VBIAS=3.3V, ON=L; in this condition has the how much of leakage current on VBIAS?

Q5: In this design case(VIN=3.3V, VBIAS=1.2V, ON=1.8V), is it can use the 3 of different voltage on VIN, VBIAS and ON?

Hi Henry

Thank you for your patience.

1. & 2. The device takes power from Vbias. On pin is signal to enable the FET. Vin is the power path of the system. So it would be best if Vbias is supplied first to power the device. There is no strict power up sequence. Vbias can be supplied along with Vin and then ON can be switched to high to use the device or Vbias and ON be applied first and then Vin is supplied.

3. TI's recommendation is to keep the VIN voltage below or equal to VBIAS. All the electrical tables focus on VBIAS >= VIN since the on-resistance gets significantly higher once VIN exceeds VBIAS.

4. Looks like you are asking for this condition.

5. Yes, this can be used but as mentioned in point #3, the Ron may become significantly higher. Please evaluate the device on board.
