Tool/software:
Good day,
We've done the design for suppressed load dump up to 40V.
Would this work for load dumps up to 80V?
Regards
Douglas

Hi Douglas,
80V load dump is violation of the abs-max rating (70V). To use the controller for transient voltages > 70V, please use common source topology.
We have a design procedure in the datasheet.
The schematic you shared wouldn't work well for 40V load dump well because of the incorrect TVS selection.
Please refer to "11.2 TVS Selection for 12-V Battery Systems" section in the datasheet.

Hi,
Thank you very much.
How would I go about measuring the battery voltage? Will it need to be on Vout? Instead of through the SW resistor ladder?
Do I tie EN to VSNS to have it always on when there is power at VBAT?
Regards
Douglas
