Hi Team,

We have PMIC TPS6594133ARWERQ1 for supply which we want to use for the Sitara Processors AM62A7 and LPDDR4 MT53E2G32D4DE-046 AAT:A.

We have few queries for the above factory configured PMIC.

1. Is it compatible with the above combination of SOC and DDR

3. Can user re-programed later if required to change power sequence ?

4. If it can be reprogramed then a separate program IC zig is required or through i2c it can be reconfigured .

Please suggest

Hello Rakesh,

I am unable to find a publicly available version of the datasheet for the Micron LPDDR4 part you listed. If possible to do so without violating any potential NDA, could you give the general requirements of rail voltages and power sequencing that this memory will require?

Hi Rakesh,

1. The Sitara AM62 processors are not supported by the TPS6594, please look into, instead the TPS6593. There is documentation for this available on the page TPS6593-Q1 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com in the "Technical Documentation" section. The question of whether the selected DDR would be able to be used in this system should be asked of the Sitara team as they will be aware of any processor/DDR compatibility issues.

3 & 4. Yes, this PMIC (as well as the TPS6593) can be reprogrammed through I2C. This can be done most easily inside of the TI GUI for this PMIC. Please see the document "Scalable PMIC NVM Update Guide" for further reference on how this is done. This document can be found at the following link TPS6594-Q1 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com.

Also Please check we need Functional Safety-Capable of ASIL B , so suggest the part number for PMIC accordingly

SO finally your suggestion for us is TPS6593 PMIC instead TPS6594. Also If TPS6593 is suggested the out of these part which would be prefer and we need Functional Safety-Capable of ASIL B , so suggest the part number for PMIC accordingly.
