Hello Forum,
I'm using TPS54302 IC for converting input battery voltage in the range of 8.4-6V to output voltage of 5V. However, IC is momentarily turning off for 48msec. This is making the system restart every single time. I wanted to know what might be the potential problems. The schematic can be found here output waveform can be found here.
Regards
Amit
Hi Amit
I have no access to the link. can you please put the schematic and waveforms as attachment?
Thank you
This is the schematic
This is the output waveform
This is output waveform overlapped with sw pin waveform. The Yellow waveform is output and blue one is sw pin.
Hi Amit
The TPS54302 might enter into hiccup mode because of the overcurrent protection or overtemperature protection.
What's the load under your test? Maybe you can measure the iL waveform and see if it hit the high-side peak current limit(5A as specified in datasheet).
Also, please make sure you use a DC source with enough current capacity.
Thanks and best regards.
