Hi Frank,

According to the datasheet of LMQ61460AFS (SNVSB70F – MAY 2019 – REVISED JUNE 2021), it will run in 'forced PWM mode' (fPWM) under both heavy and light load conditions. However when we test it under light load, its switching frequency will shift to much lower. Is this expected behavior, do I have wrong understanding of fPWM mode?

Our circuit is a current source using INA293 for the feedback loop (the schematic is shown below). The load current is measured as 1.16A. Fsw=400KHz.

I don't think that this device will function correctly with a current sense feeding directly into the FB pin.

Since we have not tested this device in this configuration, we can not recommend it.
