TPS1HC30-Q1: Current sensing accuracy and thermal calucaltion

Part Number: TPS1HC30-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

Current sensing accuracy:

  1. Could you please help with what is the sigma distribution of ISNSI in datasheet?( 3sigma or 6sigma?)
  2. How is the accuracy distributed under different currents? If the Iout current is 5A, what is the accuracy?
  3. How to understand the figure 8-1?

Thermal calculations:

  1. why using Rθjc as junction temperature caluation?
  2. ---SPRA953C

Best Regards

  • Hi team,

Could anyone can help with this?

    Thanks!

  • Current Sensing Accuracy

6 sigma is used for ISNS in the datasheet. The accuracy for different load current ranges is documented in the data sheet and tends to be lower for low IOUT. The Figure broadly describes the accuracy loss at lower load currents. The load current and accuracy range are device specific and are stated on the data sheet of every high-side switch

For the TPS1HC30-Q1 the current sense accuracy is displayed in the electrical characteristics table.

    Thermal Calculations

Junction to ambient thermal resistance is used to calculate the junction temperature because this value is a measure of the thermal performance of an IC mounted on a PCB. This is based on the JEDEC standard and meant to be a metric which thermal performance can be compared.
