TPS25982: About auto-retry and thermal shutdown for start-up

Hi Sir,

For Datasheet figure.51, the auto-retry priority is the thermal shutdown or the current limit?

For Datasheet figure.53, it means the TPS25987x output power in start-up time that must be under 80W and cannot over 0.5msec, is it correct?

Hi Henry,

The device will perform auto-retry after the FET is turned off. That won't happen when it is limiting the current but will happen during the TSD.

Yes, this is correct but this is power dissipation at the device during startup.
