UCC28C56EVM-066: How to use Evaluation board

UCC28C56EVM-066の使い方について問い合わせたいのですが。

このボードに搭載されているPWMコントローラICはUCC28C56H-Q1ですが、このICをUCC28C53-Q1に変更すると正常に動作しますか?
ICを交換したところ、正常に動作しませんでした。
ICを変更する場合、他の部品も交換する必要がありますか?

    As long as both devices are pin to pin compatible, yes you can use UCC28C53 on UCC28C56EVM-66. The only difference between both device is UVLO, which means that one will take shorter to start than the other.

    Thank you for contacting us.
    I understood about the UVLO difference only.
    However, just changing the components did not work properly.
    When I mount UCC28C53-Q1 on UCC28C56EVM-066 board, do I need to increase the capacitance of C12 from 22uF?
    I believe that the formula in the datasheet below shows that different UVLO will change the capacitance of C12.

  • Nikki, sorry for the delay on the response. Please, see my follow ups below.

    -When you mention it did not work properly, could you please elaborate more? What is wrong? It does not start up? Could you please provide waveforms of (VDD-GND), (DRV-GND), (CS-GND), (VS-GND) for a better debug?

    -Regarding Cvdd cap, you can keep the same value. With a different UVLO, the device will take longer (higher UVLO_ON) or shorter (lower UVLO_ON) to start up, but it will not affect the performance of the device.
