Dear TI expert,

   I met an issue that when I connected the battery pack to a power supply for charging, when only connected the + and  - , the battery pack can't be charged.

   But when I connect the battery pack to EV2400 through SMBUS, the pack can be charged at once.

   Can you advise the reason for this? Must have communication before charging?

   Note the HWDF bit is diasbled.

    Hello,

    Can you please tell us more in depth about how the FETs are being turned on in this situation, whether they are automatically controlled by the gauge using FET_EN or manually controlled? Also, can you confirm that the current across the sense resistor is greater than the Chg Current Threshold?
