PMP22650 is a totem pole topology, not a boost topology. UCC28180 is used here. Digital controller is used in PMP22650.

No boost, just rectification? What is the relationship between the output voltage and the duty cycle and frequency of the MOS transistor?

Please double check the reference design PMP22650 you mentioned. It is a digital solution based on C2000. UCC28180 is not used here.
