I am design a pcb board, in fact, i'm already finishing designing, and i'm wondering if this inductor will work with the TPS61169.

Application: LCD backlight.

input voltage: 3,3 volts

output voltage: 19,2 volts on 6s2p white led

output current: 40 mA

Hi Rangel,

The main consideration when you choose inductors is to consider the rated current and saturation current. This inductor is ok to support your application.

I was worried about the frequency too, 1.2 Mhz is a bit high.

I'm not sure if this inductor is shielded or not, as far as I remember I read somewhere that it was semi shielded. I think the radiated magnetic field shouldn't influence the TPS, right, because the inductor is very close to the TPS.

Do you think that 1uf/50v output ceramic capacitor is ok, or is this capacitance too large for this application?

Hi Rangel,

I think the influence on our device is still ok. 1uF is our recommendation, but you can adjust this capacitance based on real board test.
