LM25066A: Layout with limited PCB size

Part Number: LM25066A

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

My customer use LM25066A in a switch project. And the PCB size is limited. They are going to make a back-to-back layout, placing three sampling resistors and three Mosfets on the other side of the PCB, and the remaining three sets of sampling resistors and Mosfets are placed on the same layer as the device. Is it ok? What are the considerations compared to placing all devices on the same layer? Pls advise. Thanks.

Hailiang

  • Hello Hailiang,

This should not be a concern. Sensing signal can come from vias.

Make sure that there are no other high frequency switching signal just below the sense signal vias which can trigger false SCP.

You can consider eFuse with integrated FET and current sense which can reduce the space and BOM.

    Thanks

    Amrit
