Hi!
Welcome to E2E.
No, TPS25983 do not have Reverse polarity protection but by adding one diode, you can implement it.
This is an example from another datasheet but something similar should be possible for this device also.

Arush
You can also share your requirements and maybe I can recommend alternative part number.
Hi Arush
Thanks for support
We need to satisfy following requirements
1) Revers polarity protection
2) inrush limiter
3) OVP
4) OCP
Working pover supply 12 to 24V
Input Current up to 15A

Hi Paolo,
Unfortunately, we do not have any eFuse which can support 15A and have reverse polarity protection. I think this part (TPS25983) with the signal diode will be the best solution.

Hi Arush
Thanks so much
Can I ask you if you can give me a quote for TPS25983? The volume is about 20k Years
Hi Paolo,
I am not from marketing team so I won't be able to provide you any price for this. Do you have anyone from TI sales in contact with you.
Please accept my friend request.

Arush
Hi Arush
Can I ask you a clarification on the implementation of protection for reverse polarity?
in this implementation on TPS25983 is mandatory to mount the external mosfet for reverse current blocking?
Hi Paolo,
I think you got confused between reverse current blocking and reverse polarity protection.
RPP is when you plug vin and gnd in reverse order.
RCP is when Vout is greater than Vin and current can flow from out to in.
The above mentioned implementation is for enabling RPP with TPS25983.
If you need RCB using this device, you will have to use external BFET with this device.

Arush
