I am using the BQ25672 IC and programming the registers for series configurations like 1S, 2S, 3S, or 4S. I set the registers, but I want to lock them permanently. Even after a power loss, it should retain the configured values.

For example, by default, the IC reads a 1S battery configuration. Through programming, I set it to a 2S configuration. After a reset or if I unplug and plug it back in, it should retain the 2S configuration until I change it again.

The charger can be programed by pull down resistance. The PROG pin sets the cell count and switching frequency as well as default charge settings:

The ILIM_HIZ pin also sets the input current limit:

Hi Jared Baxter,

PROG pin is able to set values such as 1s, 2s, or 3s based on the program, but these settings are not stored permanently. After a power loss, it defaults to the initial state. Regardless of the value set in the program (e.g., 1s/4.2V or 2s/8.4V), it should retain the value by default.

The charger does not have memory, so the register values will reset during a power on reset.
