TLC59116: Does RESET pin need external pullup?

I want to confirm about RESET pin connection.

seeing following figure, there is no need of external pullup, but seeing datasheet 9.3.4, it says RESET pin need external pullup.

The figure is rough example?

Yes, the REST should be pull high.

Here is the example to be controlled by MCU GPIO.

If the customer connect RESET pin to MCU GPIO, they shouldn't pull-up it?

If customers connect the RESET pin to MCU GPIO, please pull up this pin if they need to communicate with this device.
