Tool/software:
Hello,
In my circuit I found that the TPS92518 requires a startup time of around 65µs to 75µs to regulate the current.
Can this also be reduced using the external wiring?
regards
Andre

Hello Andre,
I don't understand what you mean by external wiring? Can you define how you are determining the startup time? Waveforms would be nice. Is is EN pin or SPI transactions? What are you trying to do? What is your application? Please give design requirement (min, typ, max: Vin, Vled, Iout, PWM dimming freq and duty cycle range? shunt fet dimming? etc.). Are you using the EVM or did you make your own design and if so do you have a schematic of your design then can you share it with me. If you don't want to put it online then send to francis.houde@ti.com and we can take this offline.
Much of this startup is due to the inductor current ramping up during PWM dimming. That is pretty much fixed based on conditions and inductor selection.
