UCC14240-Q1: UCC14240 Equations

Hi,

I'm using UCC14240 for Gate Driver PSU and calculating components value using equation given in the datasheet for WCCA analyses as well as using "UCC1424x-Q1 DESIGN CALCULATOR TOOL:(Ver. 8)"

There are useful equations available in the datasheet e.g. COUT2, COUT3, RLIM (without RDR option) etc... However, I'm looking for equations for VDD-VEE capacitance(COUT1B), RLIM for RDR option and Input capacitance CIN.

Apart from that I could not managed to find output under voltage protection threshold values VVDD_UVP_FALL and VVEE_UVP_FALL in the datasheet.

Can I please request you to help with above information?

  • Input and output capacitance are determined from IC level simulation and the recommended values are suggested to give the lowest amount of ripple current, optimal startup time, full rated power capability and avoid UVLO during steady state operation. Just follow the recommended values from the Excel tool.

    COUT1b:

    RLIM configured as RDR:

    VVDD_UVP_FALL and VVEE_UVP_FALL in the datasheet. See page 9 of UCC14240-Q1 data sheet. The MIN/TYP/MAX voltage limits are wrt the FBVDD and FBVEE pins (2.5V TYP):
