TLC5947: Using current sink channels of several TLC5947s in parallel

Part Number: TLC5947

Tool/software:

Hello!

I am successfully using a TLC5947 to drive a high-power LED by paralleling all channels of one device. I was wondering if it would also be possible to obtain even higher drive currents by paralleling all current sink channels of more than just one TLC5947 devices into one effective channel. From my understanding of the principle of operation of the device that should be possible. I was, however, wondering if I am missing any possible drawbacks of such an approach. I would be thankful for all hints and suggestions on that topic! Thanks a lot!

Best,
Malte
