Hello,

I was curious about the life cycle status for this chip. Is this chip not recommended for new designs? When I go to the home page there are two alternatives that are advertised. I was just curious if that was a heads up that this chip will be NRFND soon. Thanks!

Hello Isabelle,

This device is still active, although we do have a couple newer versions of this device. We have the BQ27z561-R2 and the BQ27z746. The main difference between these two fuel gauges is that the BQ27z746 has integrated high-side protections while the BQ27z561-R2 does not.
