BQ76952: OTP Program

Part Number: BQ76952

Tool/software:

Dear Experts,

My client encountered some issues while referring to the OTP guide for OTP. In step 8, the e Battery Status() [OTPB] bit could not be cleared, and the Battery Status () register value read was 0x185; The OTP_WR_CHECK() register value read is 02, indicating that the battery pack voltage is lower than the OTP programming voltage. However, the customer separately supplied 10-12V to the BAT pin and VC16 pin, and the OTP_WR_CHECK() register value read is still 02. It is currently unclear what the reason is, and we hope to receive expert answers. Thank you

  • Dears,

This issue has been resolved because no delay time has been added, and OTP can now be performed normally; I also need to ask: Currently, the products that the customer has shipped cannot meet the requirement of applying 10-12V voltage to BAT and VC16. It is connected to a battery pack with a voltage of 50V. Can OTP be done

  • Hi Chen,

It is not possible to program the OTP without the BAT voltage being 10-12V. To program the packs with 50V connected, they will need to remove the 50V connection to the BAT pin and supply 10-12V with a separate source for the duration of the programming process.

    Regards,
