TL720M05-Q1: sleep current requirements

Part Number: TL720M05-Q1

Tool/software:

hello team

Greetings !

my AA Varroc is using TL720M05QKVURQ1 LDO for Cluster application

they are facing issue in quiescent current of 5V LDO TL720M05QKVURQ1.

Instead of 17 uA it is showing 200 uA at no load condition, Please see below the screen shot for more details

also as per datasheet  they are two different Q current for the new and old device, how to identify deceive is new or old ?

best Regards

Umesh Aghadate

  • Hi Umesh,

I see that they lifted both the IN pin and OUT pin for this test. With OUT lifted and floating, there is no output capacitor to stabilize the loop, so the Iq draw will be increased. Could they solder a leaded capacitor (if they have one on hand) from the OUT pin to GND so that OUT is still not connected to any load but at least is regulating stably?

Can they send an image of the shipping label? The CSO indicates where the devices were assembled; RFB indicates RFAB and a Redbull device. Anything else is a legacy device.

    Regards,

    Nick
