LT1054: TI Drop-in replacement options for ADI LT1054IS8#TRPBF

Hey Power Management Team,

I have a customer looking for a drop-in replacement for the ADI LT1054IS8#TRPBF and according to the TI BOM Cross Tool it shows that the TI LT1054IP is a P2P replacement for LT1054IS8 but these are in different packages (8-Pin PDIP versus 8-Pin SOIC).

I can see that there is a newer version of LT1054 in the LM2660 and this is offered in 8-Pin SOIC and the actual pinouts of the device seems to be fairly similar. Can you please help to confirm whether or not the LM2660MX/NOPB could be a suitable drop-in alternative for the LT1054IS8#TRPBF? Some of the pin definitions are a little different so I expect it's not drop-in but I just wanted to confirm with your experts.

Hi Matt，

LT1054 is a regulator with VFB pin. While you could see that LM2660 is doubler or inverter, the corresponding pin is LV, tied to GND normally. the package are different. By the way, what is the input output voltage and the load?

A couple comments from my side:

Based on your reply it sounds like the TI BOM Cross Tool is incorrectly reporting the TI LT1054IP as a P2P replacement for ADI LT1054IS8; can you please work with your team to update this discrepancy?
It also sounds like there is no TI P2P replacement for ADI LT1054IS8 so I'll notify the customer accordingly.
I am not sure what the input voltage and load spec requirements are; this exercise is purely to find a drop-in alternative to ADI LT1054IS8#TRPBF
