TPS55287-Q1: Power supply Part for ADAS Application

Part Number: TPS55287-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS55340-Q1, , TPS552892-Q1

Tool/software:

In one of our project power section requirements of 6–36V input with a 12V output at 2A load. For this purpose, we need a suitable buck-boost converter. Based on our analysis, we have identified the following two parts:
 1. TPS55340-Q1 SEPIC
 2. TPS55287-Q1 Buck-Boost
Could you please suggest the best part for our requirements in automotive  and functional safety enable category?
Also if any comparison table available for buck boost and sepic please provide the link.
You can also suggest other parts.
  • Hi Rakesh,

    Thanks for reaching out.

From the operation conditions, TPS552892-Q1(no I2C) is more suitable with 8A average inductor current limit. And Buck-boost solutions has better efficiency, less external components, smaller solution size, thus is more recommended.
