TPS2595: ILM pin for Monitor Function

Tool/software:

In the d/s, it addresses the ILM offers dual function of the current limit and monitor.

Customer would like to use this pin for output current monitor. it means it would be connected to the ADC of the MCU for current monitor. Is it ok in application? What need to pay attention on design?

    Hi Brian,

    There is no special requirement when using the ADC on ILIM pin. The voltage on this pin is due to internal current mirror forcing current to the external RLIM resistor. Please ensure that the ADC do not draw significant current. Also keep in mind that current limiting will still be active so choose the resistor accordingly.
