Hi there,
I'm planing on building a bidirectional switch which can operate at from 5 V to 48 V and 5 A. The circuit should be as small as possible and take up as little space as possible. I have read the document SLVA948 and have questions about it.
1. Are there any reasons not to install the TPS1663 in a back to back configuration?
2. Is there any reason to prefer the common drain configuration? I actually think the common source would be better, because the parasitic diode in blocking direction (when it's off then no voltage is on the common connection).
3. Is there maybe a full integrated IC which can operate bidirectional at 48V and 5 A?
Thanks and best regards.
